While renovating a retirement home, I remove a coaxial cable box from a plaster wall and discover what looks like a rectangular clown face underneath. One of the tenants passing in the hallway notices the oddity, and informs me that it’s a demon. I assure her that it’s not a demon, but just in case, I’m quick to mix up a batch of patching compound and trowel over it.

it’s weird because I do this the entire time, wherever I look, the floor, the walls…I always see faces and imagine shapes 🙂

For me, I tend to see patterns in wood grain and in textured ceilings.

yes that too! Everything can actually be a potential pattern if you have the imagination

It looks like a nice, friendly demon. I see faces and other things (animals, shoes, monsters) in the patterns made by bare tree branches against the sky. I’ve even thought of drawing them, but so far haven’t.

If you ever draw one, would you consider posting it? I think it would be interesting.
And thank you for your feedback.

You’re welcome! I’m not promising anything, but if I ever do that, I’ll likely post it. Thanks for the suggestion.
