The top picture is an original I posted last December (Wild Grass and Turbine). Since then, I discovered the color curves feature in a free photo editing program. I used it to make three pretty weird variations. It was a lot of fun.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I might try one more experimental series next Friday. I’m thinking my pictures of the Haserot Angel statue might work well for the project.

I hope you didn’t get “Windmill cancer” by getting too close to it! 😉
Great variations! 🙂

Don’t worry, I keep a safe distance from the Windmill. And I’m glad you liked the variations. I’m doing one more variation series tomorrow with different subject matter, then I’m going to quit playing around and really try to figure out the nuances of photo editing.

Very cool. I take a lot of pictures and sometimes use cool apps for painting ideas.

It really is amazing how dynamic graphic editing software is nowadays. It opens up a whole new world.

I like these variations a lot. A reminder of how this is something I want to play with. Thanks for exploring this play with colors.

Glad you liked them! It is a lot of fun to explore the various filters and features. I’m merely a novice, but I would like to take a formal class on photo editing one day.

Hi Hawk, I have not heard about a colour curves feature. Diverse, interesting effect. I am a novice photographer although I like playing with photos. Thank you for sharing:) Erica

I’m a novice, too. I’d really love to take a few photography classes to help get a good foundation under me. Maybe one day.
