There is something special about seeing vegetation standing defiantly in the snow. In the Midwest, it usually happens mid to late November. It reminds me that there is beauty in the struggle for life, and it gives me a real sense of the passing seasons.
Definitely deviant: the intricate Queen Anne’s Lace and true blue Chicory, ridiculously deemed weeds for the mow – get the last laugh and promise us Spring.
